Smart routing
One link — and visitors land on different addresses depending on device and time. The classic case: open the App Store for iPhone owners and Google Play for Android owners, all through a single link.
Where to set it up
On the link creation page open the «Smart routing» section and fill in the addresses you need:
- Visitors on iPhone/iPad → the App Store page, for example;
- Visitors on Android → the Google Play page, for example;
- Night mode → a separate address plus the hours «from … to …» (in the visitor's local time).
Fill in only what you need — empty rules are ignored. Everyone else goes to the main address (or takes part in the A/B test).
How the rules fire
Rules are checked before the main address and the A/B test: the first match wins. For example, an iPhone visitor at night lands on the iPhone address (the device rule is checked first).
Example uses
- Mobile app advertising: one link leads to the «right» store for the device.
- At night, when nobody is answering, send people to a chatbot or a messenger instead of a call-back form.
What you'll see
In the link's statistics on the dashboard you can see how many visits went through each rule — for example, how many visitors headed to the App Store and how many to Google Play.
